How to Perform

  1. 1

    Stand on the edge of a step or stair, balls of feet on the step, heels hanging off.

  2. 2

    Hold onto a railing or wall for balance.

  3. 3

    Keep legs straight (slight bend in knees is okay).

  4. 4

    Slowly lower heels below the level of the step until a stretch is felt in calves.

  5. 5

    Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.

  6. 6

    Raise heels back up slightly. Repeat as needed.
